The CPI course will allow you to learn everything you need about the CBRS technology, the rules and regulations set forth by the N.T.I.A., F.C.C., and the Department of Defense, and how to properly configure CBSDs and work with SAS systems and the Federated Wireless Spectrum Controller.
There are five learning modules in the course:
- Introduction to CBRS
- Introduction to the SAS (Spectrum Controllers)
- Working with CBSDs
- The Federated Wireless Spectrum Controller
- Getting Your CPI Certification
The learning modules have audio to help walk you through the material, along with periodic Knowledge Checks to make sure you are understanding the material. We’ve found that the learning portion of our program will take you about five hours to complete. You must complete each section of the course, in order, before moving onto the next module.
The official WInnForum CPI exam is in the last module of our course, and is the only part of the program that is timed. That test has 50 multiple-choice questions and needs to be completed within 60 minutes with a score of 75% or better. You can take the test as many times as you need to get your passing score.
Upon your successful completion of the course and after you pass the exam, Federated Wireless will work with our certificate authority to issue you a digital certificate (you will receive an email with a download link to the certificate, and a text message with a password to access the certificate). As you will learn in the course, a digital certificate is needed to register CBSDs.
Federated Wireless will also register you as a CPI with WInnForum’s master CPI database. This database is where all CPIs will be registered and all SASs will synch with the database to confirm CPI details and obtain your credentials.
Federated Wireless will be maintaining our learning management system and building a continuing-education site for everything CBRS. After you take our course, you will have access to this portal for new materials, updates from WInnForum, and CBRS news.
Your CPI certification will last for five years.
